SATMA Awards 2021 Press Release

Update

In partnership with the Mpumalanga Provincial Government (Department of Culture, Sport and Recreation) together with the SABC, the 16th Annual South African Traditional Music Achievement (SATMA) Awards will be held under the theme My Culture, Your Culture, One Nation. 

The awards showcase the richness of traditional music, the aim is to continuously celebrate and contribute to the growth of South African Traditional Music/ art globally collaborating with cultural organizations with similar goals within our nation.  

This year’s main event takes place in Mpumalanga, Mbombela on the 27th November 2021 with a full line up of entertainment to name a few, Kelly Khumalo, Ntencane, Stimela, Reece Madlisa & Zuma. You can also expect cultural groups; the Sepedi, Venda, Swati, Indian, Afrikaans, Tsonga and Ndebele as part of Entertainment. 

On the 26th November 2021 we will be hosting Mpumalanga province with a charity event which will be a Golf day and a Fashion Kulture competition.  

Various media houses across all provinces including SABC and radio stations will be covering the main event with all nominees and dignitaries in attendance.
