We have Big Plans

Ten Team Property Developers Pty Ltd have bought a 30 hectares farm in Southern Drakensberg Underberg under Harry Gwala District Municipality and NDZ Local Municipality. The farm has been used as a lodge for over 20 years. This establishment has been identified as an ideal location to build a legacy project called SATMA ROYAL VILLE because, it is closer The World Heritage Site Drakensberg Mountains amongst other reasons. This lodge will be turned into a South African Traditional Music Achievements Awards home, whereby the SATMA Awards main event will be hosted annually. The SATMA Awards event normally hosts between 6 000 to 9 000 guests depending on the venue. The SATMA ROYAL VILLE will not only host SATMA Awards main event but other local, national and International Event as well, as part of our expansion we are going to build Drakensberg International Convention Centre (DICC) as the farm is in the Southern Drakensberg “which is Underberg. This will not only benefit the SATMA Royal Ville but other accommodation establishment as well as other sectors in Underberg and Surrounding areas.

As part of our attraction of tourist from around the globe, We shall build a Cultural Village that represent all cultures and races as per our South African Constitution, however, as much as we are going to focus on Culture and Heritage but it will be more about traditional music, history, food, dance and structures. This project will be the first of its kind in the whole country if not in the SADC region, this is not a typical cultural village but Heritage & Cultural Hub to be called SATMA ROYAL VILL – Heritage & Culture City. This project will bring a new vibe in the sector of heritage & culture, ensure transformation to digital world. The project is expected to create employment and business opportunities for, especially, local surrounding communities.

The project will assist in ensuring that the SATMA Awards event will be self-sustainable & grow to be an academy of traditional music and music hub of South Africa, where many aspects of it will be preserved, promoted, and exposed not only in South Africa but around the Globe. This project will be the first of its kind and history will be made. There is no doubt that this will attract thousands of tourists who would like to learn about different ethnic groups, music and diverse cultures of South Africa & Africans in the Diaspora. Tourism is a social, cultural and economic phenomenon which entails the movement of people to countries or places outside their usual environment for personal or business/professional purposes but the SATMA VILL will be a unique, modern & educational destination. Some of the structures will be named after Kings, Queens, Music Icons and legends especially in the village. The plan is to launch phase one of this project in December 2024
